Eric Flint is the author of the New York Times best seller 1634 The Galileo Affair (with Andrew Dennis)—a novel in his top-selling "Ring of Fire" alternate history series. this is an absolutely fantastic series for the alternative history buff. I would definitely recommend this for anyone to read
Nice "accessory" for the series.
The ring of fire continues with more adventures and episodes of the town of Grantville as transported to the 1630's. The people are just like you and I but in an environment most of them only slightly remember from High School. This time, however, it is for real.

this was a good book to add to my already extensive ring of fire collection
I love this series all of the books are great.
It was a pleasure to read most of these stories, but (as in any anthology), some of them were just ok. However, this would be a hard book to pick up and enjoy if you aren't already a fan of the series.
Start with the 1632 written-by-Eric books (AVOID the one by Virginia!), and you will enjoy the series, and then will enjoy this book.
